Overview

Spur data feed products provide bulk downloads and on-prem datasets of our IP Context data. Data feeds are available from two locations:

  1. feeds.spur.us serves all current and historical feeds in newline-separated JSON format. This is what most customers use.
  2. exports.spur.us serves dynamically generated subsets and alternate formats of select feeds. This endpoint is only relevant if you need a download in a format other than newline-separated JSON.

How Spur Data Feeds work

  1. You subscribe to a tier of Data Feed service (e.g., anonymous or anonymous-residential).
  2. Spur updates these feeds at least daily (typically by 0500 UTC). Some feeds and tiers may be more frequent.
  3. You download the feeds on a schedule and ingest the data into your local environment.
  4. Use the data across your enterprise!

Why use Data Feeds

  • Performance: Co-locate Spur's data with the services you host. Unlimited usage, queries, and bulk database searches.
  • Security: Keep your queries and usage internal.
  • Flexibility: Perform searches based on alternate fields such as service tag or location.

What Data Feeds are available

  • Datacenter/Hosting (DCH): All netblocks belonging to datacenter and hosting providers.
