Troubleshooting Sign-in, SAML and SSO
Can't sign in to Spur? Work through the common causes: how sign-in works, corporate email checks, password resets, finding your organization, and SAML single sign-on.
How do I invite a team member?
Organization admins can invite people from Settings → Members. Select Invite member, enter one or more email addresses (separated by spaces or commas), choose a role and select Send. The role defaults to Admin, so choose Member for anyone who shouldn't manage members, billing or API tokens. Pending invitations appear on the Invites tab, where you can revoke one. If your plan has run out of seats, Members shows a Seat limit badge and you'll need to upgrade before inviting more people.
How do I remove someone from my organization?
Organization admins can remove a member from Settings → Members: open the menu on that person's row and select Remove. To cancel an invitation that hasn't been accepted, open the Invites tab and select Revoke. If you want to leave an organization yourself, open the menu on your own row and select Leave.
What roles can members of my organization have?
There are two roles. Admins can manage the organization: its Organization, Members, Plans and Billing settings, and API tokens under Settings → API. Members can use Spur's products but can't open those settings or view API tokens. Admins can change anyone's role from Settings → Members.
Where can I see my Context API usage and quota?
Open Context API in the Spur app. The dashboard shows Queries Used against your quota, when the current billing period ends, and Queries Today, your daily average and your peak day, with a chart of daily usage. Your quota resets with your billing cycle, and Spur doesn't charge overages: when the quota is used up, the API stops returning data until it resets.
Why doesn't Spur's IP location match other geolocation sources?
Many geolocation providers fall back to registration data, which is the address on an IP's WHOIS or regional registry record. That address shows where the network was registered, not where the IP is actually used. Spur geolocates IPs from active network measurement and from location data that network operators publish for their own ranges. So when the two disagree, Spur reports where the IP measures, not where it's registered. Anycast IPs, which are served from many locations at once, are labeled as anycast rather than assigned a single location.
